THE BATTLESHIP WHEELING WAS PRODUCED IN 1899 AFTER THE  SPANISH AMERICAN WAR.
    We are certain that
    this is
    The Battleship
    Wheeling because (1)
    THE DEMISSIONs
    are
AS PRINTED IN THE EARLY CATALOGS.  AND (2). THE COMPANY THAT CREATED THIS ship has embellish it's name on
the side of the ship, which is attributed to Flaccus."  The majority of milk glass collectors believe that the Flaccus produced the milk glass items found in the FLACCUS line of milk glass  This is not correct because Flaccus told the Glass Company what to make and they created the work and embossed his name of the bottom of the item.  Flasccus produced and sold mustard in the beautiful milk glass containers. The Milk Glass battleships were three of the four Battleships used in the Spanish American War (1898).
The fourth Battleship was the Maine, which was distroyed in the Spanish American War.  The milk glass ship was 6 1/4 inches long and 3 inches wide.  The average price listed in six of the major milk Glass books is ;.00(with name on the side, and .00 with out the name on the side.  This specific ship is in very good shape considering that is was made 123 years ago.
