Description
Maker and age: This lovely teapot is by the incomparable Irish porcelain producer Belleek. On its base is the green 5th mark that was in use from 1955 to 1965.
Design
: If you’re one of the many passionate collectors of Belleek, or if you simply appreciate quality, beauty and elegance, this teapot is for you. Its unusual design and incredibly thin, translucent porcelain give it a wonderful feeling of quality.
The pattern is called Limpet Yellow and this teapot is in the rare kettle shape variation. It features
seashell-themed
iridescent
yellow handles and accents.
The Limpet Yellow pattern was produced from 1955 to 1991; this kettle is from the early part of that range.
Size
: The teapot is 3 1/2 inches wide at the top and about 7 1/2 inches tall. At the tip of the spout, it's 4 3/4 inches tall. It weighs 1 pound 3 ounces.
Condition
: It's in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, discoloration, stains, crazing or repairs. The handles and lower lid - which so often sustain damage in this design - are in great shape.
Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
