This listing is for one (1) vintage “Pink Heart - Handled Glass Nappy”. This lovely candy/relish dish measures approximately 8” x 6.5” x 2” deep. Made of heavy pink glass, it has a clear glass handle and ruffled edge. The color is a very pretty shade of soft pink, with a clear glass ruffle trim. It was very difficult capturing its exact color - the photos are pretty accurate, but the pink color is a softer/warmer shade in person. Please review pictures closely as I do accept returns.
Although this 1950s collectible treasure looks like Fenton Glass, I am pretty sure it is not. Please see the pictures showing its underside - notice the pontil mark on the bottom. It’s my understanding that Fenton used snap rings when creating most of their pieces. This piece looks as though the glassmaker used a punty rod during the glass making process when it was created - hence the soft round indent, or pontil mark, on the bottom. Fenton did create some pieces with pontil marks, but I believe they are very rare, offbeat creations from the 1920s, as well as some contemporary blown glass items as well. Maybe it’s Steuben Glass as they used putny rods. However, I’m by far an expert on collectible glass, so I may be wrong on all accounts!
This beautiful nappy was definitely used by its original owners, but not by me. It’s been in my keep and displayed on my sideboard for well over thirty-five years. This estate sale collectible is in very good condition. It comes from an extremely clean, smoke, and pet-free environment. USPS Priority Mail included.
MAKER NOTE: I am not sure who made this piece. It’s definitely Fenton style, but I’m almost positive it was not made by Fenton. Therefore I’m listing it in the  “Unknown Maker” category. I’m still trying to identify the maker, so if you know who made this lovely dish, please let me know.
