You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1860s French illustrated journal.
It depicts two beautiful dogs. The back one appears to be a German SHorthaired Pointer, and the front one an English pointer. SUrrounding the picture is an article on pointer dogs.  THe article contines on the back of the page. The text is in French, but free online translators should make translating it wasy.
The page measures approximately 10.4 x 7.5 inches (26.5 x 19 cm). The picture itself fills about half the page, and measures about 5.75 x 4 inches, with a French caption below. It is surrounded by unrelated text. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
