BELLEEK SHELL PLATE w/First Black Mark 1863-90 Antique
These beautiful Shell-shaped plates have an ivory colored base with a iridescent colored glaze over the inside concave area of the shell and a very subtle pink glaze around the edge of the shell on the front. The back of the plate is glazed in a clear glaze around the outside of the base. There is no glaze around in the inside of the base. All plates are clearly marked with the Belleek Hallmark of the first Black Mark which dates from 1863-1890.
Each plate measures approx: 8-3/8" wide x 8-5/8" tall x 3/4" high.
These plates have been in one family since the early 1900's and would typically have been used for high-tea, desserts or sandwiches.
Please review individual photos of each Plate A-F as they are each slightly different.
Some of them have marks within the glaze. Plate C has a double-stamped hallmark that looks slightly blurred.
