AMERICAN BELLEEK LENOX PALETTE MARK RIBBED PINK CUP & SAUCER WITH HP PINK ROSES

Up for auction is this stunning American Belleek ribbed cup and saucer set.  The set is marked on the bottom, in pink, with the early Lenox Belleek Palette mark.  This mark dates the set from 1889-1906...a true antique!  It also indicates that the set is hand painted.  The upper interior edge of the cup, the interior circumference of the the saucer and the bottom interior of the cup have pink roses on green leafy stems.  Ribbed edges and footed bottoms of both pieces, as well as the fancy double handle on the cup, are trimmed in heavy gold.  The exterior of both the cup and saucer, as well as the center of the saucer, are painted pink.  Both the cup and saucer taper out from bottom to top.  Both have the spectacular opaque translucent thin delicate texture that is the hallmark of fine American Belleek porcelains!  The cup measures about 3 3/8 inches wide, including handle, and 2 1/8 inches tall.  The bowl type saucer measures about 4 1/4 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches tall. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.  Minor wear to gold painted trim on the bottoms of both pieces, where they sit on a table (this is extremely minor, commensurate with the antique age and use of the set, and only mentioned for complete accuracy!  A great set in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
