because there are blemishes, scratches or light stains on the blades.  The stains are light-colored but they are stained none-the-less.

The blemishes/scratches will not affect the performance or integrity of the tool. It won't matter at all when you are using it on a grill or griddle.

This really is a great price for this item.  Especially when you consider that I'm paying the shipping
